Our counseling centers exists to provide accessible and compassionate mental health services to under-resourced individuals. We strive to create a supportive and empowering environment where everyone feels heard, valued, and respected. Through evidence-based therapy, holistic approaches, and support groups, we aim to promote healing, resilience, and well-being for members of our community.
Recent research shows a clear link between poverty and poor mental health. Individuals in poverty are at higher risk for mental illness and lower levels of happiness.
Counseling centers that serve under-resourced individuals typically struggle to get enough funding and resources for their operations and services. This can hinder their ability to provide comprehensive care, hire qualified staff, and offer specialized programs tailored to the needs of their clients.
We provide counseling and support groups for individuals and families to address anxiety-related disorders, relationship discord, parenting challenges, individual challenges, career-related issues, as well as drug and substance abuse issues.
We currently serve approximately 400 families and some 600 individuals annually through our individual and family counseling services, support groups, and educational programs.
